Alignment is a foundation to the practice of yoga. Amanda’s method of teaching yoga asana (postures) and pranayama (breath control) will help you develop strength, endurance, and optimal body alignment, in addition to flexibility and relaxation. This class will guide you in the development of self-awareness, intelligent evaluation, and profound inward reflection. This attention to detail and cultivation of awareness is meant to not only maintain your physical safety in the practice but to develop mental benefits of a complete meditation in action.
Note: Some yoga experience is recommended. Participants need to bring a yoga mat to class. A limited number of mats are available upon request.
